Waterfowl

A Ross's Goose was seen at various spots along the river near Williamsport 2/15-21 (m.obs.), providing the third Lycoming County record of that species. A Cackling Goose was seen at Mill St. on 2/28 (BB). The Trumpeter Swan originally found at Rose Valley Lake during the fall season continued through 12/2 (DR).

A Blue-winged Teal was at a pond near Montgomery on 1/18 (BB, DeB, BoB).

Shrikes

The Northern Shrike at Rose Valley Lake that was first seen during the fall season continued to be seen throughout December and January (m.obs.).

Longspurs & Snow Buntings

A Lapland Longspur and approximately 15 Snow Buntings were found in Cogan House Twp. during the Northern Lycoming CBC on 1/4 (BB, DB, DeB, BoB).
