Yellow-crowned Night-Heron is very rare in Lycoming County. The first county record was from April 10, 2010 along Lycoming Creek. More information about that county-record sighting can be found in V24N2 of the Pennsylvania Birds quarterly journal. The other record was a juvenile at a roadside pond along Rte. 287 in northern Lycoming County found on July 11, 2018.
