Sightings are extremely rare. One daytime record of a single bird from 9/5/1991 at SGL 252. More information on this sighting can be found in V5N3 of the Pennsylvania Birds quarterly journal. The species was detected by flight call over Montoursville during the early morning hours of 5/11/2017, 5/17/2017, and 5/21/2017, and is probably a yearly flyover migrant.
