Sanderling

Sanderling is a very rare visitor to Lycoming County. The only known records were a group of 5 at the Williamsport Dam on July 20, 2012 and a single bird at the same location August 21-22, 2019. Like most locally-rare shorebirds, they are most likely to be found after rain storms, as part of a "fallout" of birds.
