Ring-billed Gulls are found year-round, but are scarce in the summer. The species is Lycoming County's most common gull. They migrate through in flocks of hundreds to tens of thousands and can be found everywhere from parking lots to farm fields to the landfill to the river. In March and April, large flocks often settle at dusk near the Williamsport dam.
