Red-eyed Vireo is an extremely common breeding species present in Lycoming County from late-April through mid-October. The species is mostly unknown to the general public, but is the third most abundant nesting species in Pennsylvania, according to the second Breeding Bird Atlas. It's hard to walk outside in the summer without hearing one.
