Usually very rare and would typically only be associated with a hurricane or other storm. Lycoming's first was a record from 5/1/2016 at Rose Valley Lake during a fairly weak storm system from the west. That bird was only seen in flight and left after approximately 45 minutes. A second record seen from Greevy Boat Launch in Loyalsock on 9/1/2021 during the remnants of Hurricane Iaa.
