Cliff Swallows are generally reported in Lycoming County from mid-April to early-September. The species is primarily known for nesting on bridges, such as the Market Street bridge in Williamsport. Their plumage is fairly distinctive, but could be confused with Barn Swallow from a poor view. During months when Cliff Swallows shouldn't be around, be sure to carefully rule out the similar, but much more rare, Cave Swallow.
