Bonaparte's Gull is a regular migrant from early-March through early-May and late-October through November. They are the least commonly reported of the 3 "expected" gull species in Lycoming County, with Herring Gulls being seen a little more often and over a wider timeframe during the year. Ring-billed Gulls are far more numerous than any other species of gull in the county. They are most commonly seen along the river and at Rose Valley Lake. Rare county species, such as Little Gull, Black-headed Gull (no records), or Laughing Gull could sometimes be mixed in with flocks of Bonaparte's Gull, so check flocks carefully if you come across them.
