Blue-winged Teal is a somewhat uncommon species in Lycoming County that migrates through in March and April, and is occasionally seen in the fall too, typically in September and October. The species is often found in shallow marshy areas but is also seen on creeks, the river, and Rose Valley Lake. Some years it can be a tricky one to find.
