Rider Park

Overview

This 867-acre high-elevation park north of Warrensville is open to the public for recreational activities with more than 15 miles of trails and three vistas.

The bird feeding areas often have a high amount of songbird activity.

The park is open from dusk to dawn. The restrooms are porta-potties. A large pavilion is available.

Directions

From 973 in Warrensville, go north on Pleasant Valley Road for .75 miles. Turn right onto Calebs Run Rd and take it to the end in 2 miles at the parking area.

Barred Owl

The hoots of barred owls can be heard echoing through the wooded mountains, sometimes even during the day.

Warblers

Good spot for migrating and breeding warblers.
