Haleeka Wetlands

Overview

This state game lands wetland along Lycoming Creek Road consists of large pond areas with forested edge.

From the gate follow the only path down the hill and continue in that direction. Primitive trails run between the ponds and the creek.

The Lycoming Audubon Society maintains wood duck nesting boxes.

Directions

From Trout Run, head south on Lycoming Creek Road for 4 miles. The gate is on the right just before the metal grate bridge across Lycoming Creek. The best place to park is a hundred yards north of there where the road has a very wide shoulder.
